I could probably have done more with this composition-wise if I hadn’t forgotten the tripod’s quick release plate which is always attached to the camera except when it wasn’t!

Autumn Afternoon
Perhaps a few hours early but, as it turned out,it raining when the light would have been warmer
Dawn Light
For a night-owl like myself, there are very few advantages to being woken up before sunrise by a nagging child. However, getting to take this shot from the back garden almost compensated me.
Gone in a Flash of Colour and Motion
One of the cyclists on the Tour of Ireland as they passed through Riverstick. As much as this is a “missed” shot it captures the event quite well as they were through the village in a flash.
Garden Fences
Our garden fence… I was hoping to catch one of the sparrows perching here but none obliged and all I was left with was this test shot, which is oddly pleasing.
Space Shuttle Endeavour
The Space Shuttle Endeavour streaks over our house followed by the recently seperated main fuel tank. Awesome sight, and moving much quicker than I expected. Glad I didn’t try the telephoto ;-)
Misty Lane
Although I was strictly speaking too sick, I just had to venture down the down the road with the camera. The shots were ok but the major achievement was discovering a fox’s run, with fresh droppings. I know where I’ll be spending some time.
